Tweet Log #4 – 2016 07/31 – 08/06

Welcome to the latest edition of The Tweet Log, my weekly twitter archive and newsletter. I use twitter not only as a way to promote my photography, art, and craft work, but also as a roundabout journal to keep track of things I do and find interesting, or just random thoughts. I keep track of my tweets each week (excluding repeat promo tweets) and post them in my weekly newsletter so that you don’t miss anything interesting. I have decided to start posting my newsletter on Wednesdays now, instead of on Sundays. It’s just easier for me that way due to my archive scheduling and needing more time for editing. So lets get on with the content shall we.

My Tweet Archive For 07/31 – 08/06 2016

Sunday, July 31st, 2016

2:19 AM – Graveyard shift again. It’s going well so far. I just got tuned in to another Tech Guy podcast while I work for the next couple hours. – The Tech Guy (MP3) | Leo Laporte – The Tech Guy: 1309

Monday, August 1st, 2016

12:13 AM – Wow where did Sunday go? Oh yeah, I worked my butt off, left work early, and then spent the entire day resting. I’m back at work now.

4:47 AM – Another foggy night. It’s a good night though so far. Just trying to stay awake and get my work done on the graveyard shift.

6:15 AM – Found a new podcast to listen and subscribe to – Monstercat, on Podbean – Monstercat Podcast | Monstercat Podcast Ep. 115

5:45 AM – Catching up from yesterday: I went to Goat Rock again after work yesterday. I got some nice foliage photos taken and also snapped a few nice shots of some dark clouds and a beautiful white heron. Those photos will be up on the website in a few months as I get around to editing and posting them. I know that my Tweet Log for last week still isn’t posted yet and today makes it two days late. I will have it online very soon.

7:42 AM – Just listened to #ASOT774 A State Of Trance. Look it up on Spotify. #arminftw

3:30 PM – I’m editing photos for my next round of scheduling and suddenly I’m craving chocolate pudding… Time for a store run in the rain.

8:46 AM – Sorry but if it appears to me in the WordPress reader or on your blog that you have comments disabled, I’ll most likely unfollow you…. with that said though maybe it’s a little nuts managing a blog that has 33,512 followers….

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016

10:06 PM – Sleep – it does a body good, but between that and working lately I’m not getting much of my website work, photo editing/posting, or craftwork done. I gotta get a grip! Speaking of work, it’s time to get ready for the graveyard shift tonight. Oh, and yes I realize I still haven’t posted last week’s Tweet Log yet. Maybe tomorrow.

11:57 PM – Wow I actually made it to work on time tonight. 10 minutes early in fact.

Thursday, August 4th, 2016

2:47 AM – Currently listening to Tritonal – Piercing The quiet Remixed (The Extended Mixes) album on Spotify.

4:14 PM – Just for the record my laptop is on (after getting a little sleep today) so I will be naking an attempt to catch up on some of my website work… like maybe getting last week’s Tweet Log Newsletter up on site finally.

7:25 PM – Dropbox – If you don’t have it, get it. By far the easiest way to transfer photos/files from phone to computer that I’ve found. Yeah I know it’s been around awhile but I’m really just starting to use it lately and I love that I don’t have to plug up my phone to my computer just to get a picture that I need to edit/post on my website.

5:50 AM – IG Sunrise Post – Friday morning, August 5th, 2016 sunrise at 5:43 a.m. See more of my photography, art, and handmade items at and have a great day. #sunrise #goodmorning #outdoors #cloudgazing #auburn #alabama #photography

Home from work at around 10:20 a.m. Had cereal for breakfast (corn pops), and then…………….

Apparently I drifted off to never land while writing the last tweet, then I took a drive to Goat Rock to spend a couple of evening hours in peace after getting some sleep, and then I finished the Grateful Dead hat I was making for a friend…… and then I went to work.

My Photography Best This Week

A look back at my best photos posted between 07/31 – 08/06 2016.

This is an Osprey nest located near the dam on West Point Lake. It’s been there for about two or three years (best that I can remember) and it’s always fun to see these birds nesting on the platform that was built for them when I drive across the dam. [original post]

This image was one of my most liked during the week between 07/31 – 08/06. I love shooting photos of people when they are in their own zone and just being themselves. I’ve said it a hundred times and will say it again that people make the best pictures when they don’t know they are in one. [original post]

Here is another photo I took in June 2016 of an old man with an old truck out fishing on the Georgia side of West Point Lake. It’s another one that was liked by other bloggers most during the week of 07/31 – 08/06. [original post]

Prints (8″ X 10″) can be made and shipped to you if you like any of these shots or any shots on my website. Pricing starts at $35.00 for the first print and just $5.00 for each print after (all 8″ X 10″) and this includes shipping. Payments accepted by PayPal. Prints are sent to U.S. residents only.

My Craftwork Updates

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on some Grateful Dead patch hats. Here’s a few progress pics to get you up to date incase you haven’t been following.

There are two hats. The blue one with the round Jerry Garcia moonface patch, and then the gray one with the melt your face stealie patch. It is the grey hat which is the focus of this weeks update. As you can see in the first picture, the hat itself wasn’t finished, and in the second picture I was about halfway through sewing the patch on.

I finished it.

It turned out much better than I thought it would and sewing the patch on really wasn’t that hard to do. It just took a little patience and motivation.

Here is another knit hat that I finished as well. I will be giving both of these hats to a friend.

I have some new yarn also and plan to start working on a new hat (for myself) to have this coming winter, and eventually I’ll start making more to add to my etsy shop for sale.

Art Spotlight

I did some more glitter paintings.

These were all fun. Sorry these are not for sale.

I do however have some art products available for sale in my zazzle art shop including the refrigerator magnets shown above and greeting cards which feature my original art. Please go visit. The magnets are really cool and make great note holders for your refrigerator.

Music Album Recommendation

Still continuing on in my quest to listen to 500 edm and trance albums to find the best, I have this album to recommend this week. It is Tritonal – Piercing The Quiet Remixed (The Extended Mixes). Search for it on Spotify.

If you know of an edm or trance album that is worth recommending please send me a tweet on twitter at @dtpiix (and please follow me on twitter) or contact me by email.

Well that is it for this week. Thanks to everyone who has liked a post on my blog or followed my website this past week. I hope this next week is a good one for you. Be sure you are following my blog so that you don’t miss any of my photo posts.
